Drake Previews New Music With Playboi Carti, Fivio Foreign, & Popcaan

He unloaded a ton of new songs during a late-night Instagram Live

Drake continued his busy 2020 on Monday night by teasing half-a-dozen unreleased songs, including tracks with Playboi Carti, Popcaan, and Fivio Foreign. He previewed the tracks during an appearance on OVOMark’s Instagram Live.

His Carti collaboration, which fans have dubbed “Pain 1993,” is expected to appear on the Atlanta rapper’s upcoming album, Whole Lotta Red. Drake previously teased his involvement in the project:

He shouted out OVO’s latest signee, Popcaan, while previewing one of their tracks. Popcaan and Drake previously worked together on “Controlla,” although Pop’s verse was removed from the final version of the song:

Drizzy also shared a portion of his unreleased collaboration with Brooklyn drill rappers Fivio Foreign and Sosa Geek. The latter rapper first teased the JBMadeIt-produced track back in February:

Several Drake tracks recently leaked online, and although he told Joe Budden that most of the songs were old, he did confirm that one of them will appear on his upcoming album:

Drake has been hinting at the impending release of his sixth album, his first since Scorpion in 2018. There’s still no release date for the project, but with all the unreleased material, it seems he may be getting close.
