The trailer of MX Players ‘Pawan & Pooja’ starts off by talking about loving a little less, but by the end of it, we know that we are going to love this series a lot more than we should! This 10 episodic drama, traces the journey of 3 couples – all named Pawan and Pooja, all at different stages of their lives – as they steer through the complications of love and life. But as they discover that not all “happily-ever-afters” are the same, we discover what love means.
If the trailer wasn’t enough to convince you to spend Valentine’s Day in, with a bowl of popcorn and ‘Pawan & Pooja’ on auto-play, maybe these will:
Spectacular Ensemble Cast
The show not only stars veteran stars like Mahesh Manjrekar and Deepti Naval but also stars a powerhouse of talent with the next lead pair – Sharman Joshi and Gul Panag. The youngest couple on the show is played by teen heartthrobs Taaruk Raina and Natasha Bharadwaj. With a talented ensemble like this, you know you’re in for an entertaining ride.
Lessons in Love, Life & Regrets
Three different stories, one common emotion – love. From regrets to life lessons, the show takes on an emotional rollercoaster with each of its stories. For instance, the most experienced, Pawan and Pooja Kalra (Mahesh Manjrekar & Deepti Naval), now in their 60’s, teach us what regrets can do to you. They make a regret list and mark off everything they couldn’t do when they were young.
Next, we have Pawan (Sharman Joshi) and Pooja Mehra (Gul Panag) battling a stagnant marriage in their 40s. Once passionately in love, the couple is struggling to come to terms that their love is no longer the same. The youngest Pawan (Taaruk Raina) and Pooja (Natasha Bharadwaj) have their own demons of love. In their early 20’s, the couple is struggling between the virtual reality of their relationship versus the real one. Now, doesn’t that sound like a heavy-duty entertainer?
