A Utah man has been charged with murder less than one month after he was released from prison.
Ryan Joseph Dash, 32, was charged Tuesday with aggravated murder in the Feb. 8 killing of a man in North Ogden. After his arrest, Dash acknowledged to that he killed Dalton Wood because he had threatened him, shows a probable cause statement. Dash said he had previously assaulted Wood’s brother, which led to the threat.
Dash doesn’t have an attorney listed in online Utah state court documents.
His police mug shot shows that Dash has tattoos of a swastika on his head and the words, ““white power” over his eyebrow.
He has been in and out of prison since 2008. In 2014, he was charged with assault after authorities say he stabbed his cellmate 11 times, the Deseret News reports.
He was most recently released from the state prison on Jan. 14 and put on parole.
